Work Travels

September has been a month of travel for Jeff, but unfortunately, not travel for pleasure.  His job has required him to be gone quite a lot this month, and while it sounds exciting on the surface, in reality he is mostly just seeing the inside of meeting rooms.  He did, however, get out a little to get a few photos on a couple of his trips.  Since he really hasn’t had time to explore any of these places, this post will be short and mostly just show the photos he was able to capture.

Twice this month he spent some time in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.  He stayed near the historic Fort Worth Stockyards and took all these photos in that area.  His highlight was seeing the steers and watching one of the daily cattle drives through the stockyards.

He also visited Hai Duong, Vietnam.  Again, there wasn’t much time for sight-seeing, but he enjoyed a nice view from his hotel window (see the photo at the top of this blog post) as well as seeing some interesting sights on his way to and from work each day.  He says the fruit there is among some of the best he has ever had – check out the grapes in the photos above that he was served at one of his meetings! He would have loved to see more of the culture and way of life for the people of the area, but time just didn’t allow it.  Maybe next time!

It has been a while since the two of us have been able to get away for vacation-style travel, but we do have a week in October set aside to play.  Check back in a couple of weeks to see where we are going and what adventures we have along the way!

Until next time!
